Write an NFC sticker or print a QR label for each body, and stick it on the base plate. Tap it with your phone and Emulsen opens straight to that camera — no menus, no scrolling a list, even with the app closed.

QR labels work on any phone. NFC needs a phone that supports it and the installed app. A tag holds only a link to a camera in your own library — nothing personal, and meaningless on anyone else’s phone.

A safelight timer runs each step in red light, with agitation cues you can feel with wet hands and batch matching when several exposed rolls share one time.
Times are hand-keyed from manufacturer datasheets and shown as starting points — ten black-and-white films across eight developers, plus the standard C-41 and E-6 processes. Confirm against your own datasheet and thermometer.

Does Emulsen store my photographs?
It records the roll and can link to an external gallery. It does not host your scans.
Can I identify a camera with a tag?
QR tagging exists. NFC language stays qualified by device and build support.
Does it work without an account?
The current product is designed around local records and an exportable backup.
Is there an iPhone version?
Yes — it’s in development now. Emulsen launches on Android first, and the iPhone version follows. Join the early-access list and we’ll tell you when each one is ready.
Is this a social network?
Not today. Emulsen is currently focused on the application and the analog workflow.
Is Negative Viewer a scanner?
No. It provides a quick positive preview so you can see what is on the negative before the final scan.
Does the meter guarantee a perfect exposure?
No meter can make that promise. Emulsen provides a reflected-light reading and practical exposure combinations.
